The members of the Child Welfare Committee are appointed by the State Administration under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Act, 2015. It is mandatory to establish one Child Welfare Committee in each district as the final authority to dispose of cases for the care, protection, treatment, development and rehabilitation of children in need of care & protection and to provide for their basic needs and Protection of human rights. The Child Welfare committee has to decide the welfare of the children who are in the Reception Unit. The Child Welfare Committee is functioning in our centre since 2009.
