Tirunelveli Social Service Soceity - Brief Introduction
TSSS - Our Parent Organization (TSSS)
- The Tirunelveli Social Service Society (TSSS) was registered on October 31, 1972.
- It was created with the object of engaging in the social development activities aimed at improving the living conditions and general welfare of the rural poor who are downtrodden, underprivileged and marginalized, regardless of caste, creed or community
- Tirunelveli Social Service Society is the official organ of the Palayamkottai diocese for social ministry and also the commission for peace, justice and development with the motto "That they may have life".
Operational Area:
TSSS operates in 15 Blocks of Tirunelveli District and three blocks of Tutucorin District. It also works with Tirunelveli Corporation and other urban areas. The jurisdiction of TSSS covers 6102.7 sq.kms with a population of 26, 52, 273. To its credit, TSSS has mobilized 20000 plus women and marginal farmers in to SHGs and Federations.

The diocese of Palayamkottai
The Diocese of Palayamkottai is situated in the southeast end of INDIA. It covers up two districts namely, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin which are located in the southern part of Tamilnadu. The diocese of Palayamkottai is an outstanding and exemplary one for its developmental programmes being organized through various commissions.
