Shelter Based Home

  Short Stay / Shelter for whom :

• Rescued children from the streets will be given short stay till they are rehabilitated
• If resuced children have no one, Saranalayam takes the responsibility and according to their age, ability and need send them for studies.
• If they are young and have no interest in studies, we find them a job,etc.
• Some of the children have parents but are not willing to stay with their parents and are placed in schools or Vocational training centres and Saranalayam takes care of those children.

• Organize meetings for street children to meet together.
• Identifying their inner talents and to develop it further.
• Guide them to choose the right path to improve them.
• Offering formal education, technical training.
• Create good relationship with the family members.

  Functions and Celebrations :

The Saranalayam staff and the shelter home children together celebrate all functions like Diwali, Christmas, Pongal, etc,. This helps the street children to improve their interpersonal relationship with other children and also with the public.
